My five year old son is certainly coming up with some very creative Christmas list items this year. I find it so funny and random the stuff he has on his mind. I quickly jot them down for future reference and plan out my list carefully. We were watching a classic on a Tuesday night when to my surprise, he suddenly became so incredibly excited and informed me with great enthusiasm that he really wanted a TV in his room! There is no way no how I will allow him to have a tv in his room at 5 years old. He loves to watch Directv and I’m certain he would disappear and I wouldn’t see him again until he moves out for college. Don’t get me wrong, I love Directv as much as the next person, but I just do not want my child to become a lethargic pile of mush in his room on a daily basis. It broke my heart but I had to stomp out his little dream of television heaven. I’m not backing down and true to form, neither is he. It’s a battle of wills, and I got years of experience on him.
