About Dragon Mystic

I fell in love with dragons when I read Tea With the Black Dragon, and never looked back. Not the clunky winged Medieval dragons that ate cows, the graceful Asian dragons that could fly without wings. Later I discovered the elegant Welsh dragons, red and white, as described by R.J. Stewart in his books on the historical Merlin.

I see this book won an award in the 1970s and assume it was printed then.I was born in 1940 and had a book on the rainbow serpent when a child – and it was not a new book; all my siblings were born before me.It was hard backed – from memory and in old measurements, it was about 15 inches or more high and about 7 or 8 or more inches wide. It had the most stunning illustrations, particularly the end pages. I can still see the serpent in my minds eye.The story was aboriginal and I assume the one which is repeated in the book listed on amazon.Does anyone know if the book I remember exists today?Carben
