Safari Ltd Blue Chinese Dragon

Legendary creatures in Chinese mythology and folklore, the serpentine Blue Chinese Dragon represents power and excellence, nobility and divinity. Historically the Chinese Dragon symbolized the emperor of China thus considered a benevolent creature, in contrast to its evil western counterpart. In ancient times dinosaur fossils were thought to be dragons who breathed fire and inhabited the primeval forests. Even though we now know that the fossils found were of dinosaurs and not dragons, children still have a passion for this fantasy world of knights and giant green dragons. Safari feeds this passion with our vibrantly painted, action packed dragon figures. We refer to them as the ultimate “gym” for building great imaginations, a must for any child.

About Dragon Mystic

I fell in love with dragons when I read Tea With the Black Dragon, and never looked back. Not the clunky winged Medieval dragons that ate cows, the graceful Asian dragons that could fly without wings. Later I discovered the elegant Welsh dragons, red and white, as described by R.J. Stewart in his books on the historical Merlin.

“water dragon” My 2 and almost 4 year old love this dragon! It is so different than most of the other dragons on the market that they really love playing water-based fantasy pretend play with it. Plus, I was a little worried about having such young kids play with it (that it might break) but they’ve had it for 2 months and it is holding up beautifully! One cautionary note, it hurts like a @#%^$ when you step on it…

Amazing detail, finely wrought There is an amazing amount of detail in this small dragon. It’s well conceived, well sculpted and well executed.
