About Dragon Mystic

I fell in love with dragons when I read Tea With the Black Dragon, and never looked back. Not the clunky winged Medieval dragons that ate cows, the graceful Asian dragons that could fly without wings. Later I discovered the elegant Welsh dragons, red and white, as described by R.J. Stewart in his books on the historical Merlin.

It types better than I do! I received this program about a week ago. I figured it was worth a try. I have never been what you could call a proficient typist. I’d heard pros and cons about the program but nobody I knew nearby actually used it, so I decided to give it a try.A week into the experience, I find the program to work very well. The initial setup takes a small amount of time. Once it’s done, you can get right to work. I’ve used the program for input into word processors as well as my e-mail program. I find its accuracy to be much better than my own typing. The program learns as it goes along. If you type are particular sort of document for example a fiction story, you can have Dragon analyze your story and learn more about your writing style, your vocabulary, even, for example, unusual names you may be using in your writing. While at it’s learning,if it misinterprets the word, and you go back, within the program, to correct it, it learns from its mistakes. You find that as you go along, using the program, it understands more and more, accurately converting your speech into correct text.Chartres version: if you’re a poor typist or if you’re typing suffers because of illness or injury, yet you still need text entry, Dragon is a very acceptable have to take.

Amazing! I almost never give a five star review. To merit five stars, a product has to be truly amazing. Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5 is such a product. I am dictating this review using this software. I bought an early version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking many years ago and soon gave it up in disgust. It was terrible. But recently I was visiting someone who was using it, and he said he was extremely happy with it. I watched him dictating and saw that he had to make almost no corrections. So when I got home, I ordered version 11.5. After going through an easy four-minute training session, I was astonished that when I dictated a piece of hundred words, it made only four mistakes, and that was before I trained it at all. Training is easy and fast.I’m puzzled by the experience of one reviewer who has not been able to make the software work on his system. Believe me, this is not due to a defect in the software because version 11.5 works marvelously for so many people, including me. How well software runs depends on a multitude of factors. For example, we don’t know if the person who wrote the one-star review was trying to run too many memory-hog programs, such as Photoshop, at the same time, which will gobble up even 8 Gigs of RAM very fast. In general, the experiences of different people may vary depending on how carefully they follow the instructions, how clearly they speak, the pitch of their voices, whether they are using the right microphone at the proper distance from the mouth (very close), and perhaps other variables.Don’t hesitate because of the price. The price of Dragon NaturallySpeaking direct from the publisher is $99 plus shipping, so the price from this vendor is very good. If you do a lot of writing on the computer, this software will simplify your life.

HORRIBLE, CONSTANTLY CRASHES AND CORRUPTS PROFILES – HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICES MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH DRAGON 11.5 HOME PREMIUM, AS WELL AS DRAGON PROFESSIONAL (costs $600). I have an HP with 8 gigs of RAM, 1500 gigs of memory and using Windows 7 operating system. I upgraded from Dragon 11 home version to the Profession Version and due to so many problems, I then reverted to the regular 11.5 Home Premium and I deeply regret it. Huge flaws with these products and have had nothing but problems. I’m extremely disappointed with this supposed upgrade. First, it constantly crashes/freezes, stating that my computer has low system resources, when I have 8 gigs of RAM. I have to wait several minutes for it to start working again and thats if it starts back up. Many times, I have to shut down all my Word documents and at times, I even have to reboot my entire computer. This is all extremely time consuming, especially when it keeps happening back to back, like every three minutes to every 10 minutes. Sometimes, I can use it for hours with no problems. But this is rare; most of the time, it freezes. Second huge problem, it keeps corrupting my profiles. So, after spending hours training it, adding new words and creating new commands for it, my profile and its back ups will suddenly fail and I have to start all over again from scratch. This happens maybe twice a month. It happened on my older computer that was only 6 months old and it’s now doing it with my new more powerful computer, which I purchased hoping that this would help solve the problem. NOPE; same thing with both versions, Dragon Professional and Dragon 11.5 Home Premium. I’m not running any other software that would cause problems and there is no rime or reason for these things to be constantly be happening. Dealing with Dragon customer services is beyond frustrating. They says that my profiles are probably crashing because of “possible power failures,” NOPE, no power failure whatsoever. Their solution for the constant freezing related to low system resources is to “create a new profile.” Well, guess what Dragon, I’m already forced to do this anyway when my profiles crash every other week.Nuance customer services are complete idiots and seriously useless/worthless (Outsourced from other countries; should I say anymore?) They pull out answers out of their you know what and I might as well ask my 85-year-old grandmother for help who has no tech exposure at all. They spends hours going through their manuals, and trouble shooting and never have the answer. THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THEY’RE DOING!! Not once have they given me a solution to any problems I’ve had with Dragon. So, can you tell I’m a just a tad frustrated?THIS PRODUCT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
